About Me
My Background
Hi! I'm Fiona Melady. I've lived in Colorado my entire life, but I've always had a love for the ocean. I am a recent graduate from Regis University in Denver, Colorado where I obtained my bachelor's degree in biology with an emphasis in ecology and evolution, and a minor in environmental studies. Some of my favorite subjects in biology include marine ecology, fisheries management, conservation biology, and environmental policy, but I also enjoy learning about forest ecology. My future career goals include working in marine conservation, particularly with sharks and rays (my favorite marine animals), fisheries management, or marine ecotourism. I hope to champion the interests of marine life through advocacy, hands-on work, and policy. I also love learning languages and about other cultures; I speak intermediate French and Scottish Gaelic, and I hope that I can use language skills in my future career as well.
